This appears to be a neat new little app, at least in concept, from Google. 

The thought process goes that Field Trip will prompt you about cool things to see/try near you when you are on a trip.  You might find out cool little things about the area around you.

The unfortunate part, there just isn’t enough data in there yet.  I have tried several areas in the Dallas, Texas northern suburbs and there is very little information at all.

Hope this changes as it is a great concept!
