This is a simple and quick pie crust to make for when you are in a pinch.
Here’s what you’ll need:
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 lbs of lard (Crisco is my preferred)
6 Tbsp of margarine (or add more Crisco)
1/4 cup of cold water
Now to pull it all together:
Mix together the flour and salt
Next cut in lard and margarine until in small pieces with a fork
After you have the small pieces start adding the cold water a little at a time continuing to mix with the fork. Once mixed together well form into a ball
Divide in half
Lightly flower a board or your counter top and, using a rolling pin, roll out the crust for your pie tin.
This will fit up to a 10″ pie. This makes a double crust or 2 single crusts.
Enjoy!
